November Currently

Happy November, Ya'll!
Linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this month's currently...
Listening - The baby is finally asleep, and you don't dare walk back in to turn off the music!

Loving - Florida actually had beautiful weather today! My husband and I enjoyed an almost 3 hour walk around our neighborhood, got coffee, ate lunch, and walked home. In our busy crowded town, this is unheard of. We just HAD to take advantage of the 70s and the beautiful breeze.

Thinking - I have a TON of work to finish for my masters class on Tuesday. Yet, I have to lesson plan still, and I'm typing up my currently. lol Priorities.

Wanting - I went to the ALER (Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers) Conference yesterday to speak about the disconnect between student teaching and "the real world". More to come on that next week, but let's just say it was AMAZING. We skyped with Tim Rasinski, one of my favorite researchers, and I sat next to Linda Gambrell. If you are in the literacy world and do research or read research, you will know who I'm talking about! The reading nerd in me had the time of her life! I wish I could go back...

Needing - More coffee...and milk. My milk is expired, and I need milk in my coffee tomorrow.

Reading - I'm reading an RtI article and writing an article review for my masters. Hopefully, this will get done tonight. Plugging away...slowly, but surely.

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. I'm not sure what 70 feels like, but I'd imagine it's quite nice if you're able to walk for 3 hours in Florida! We're just starting Spring here in New Zealand, and I get exciting by seeing 20 on my thermometer. Although I'm thinking celcius, and you're in farenheit, so we are probably at the same temp!!
All the best with your studies - I'm exactly the same with my priorities right now... I'm ignoring my end of year reports, and writing my currently too!

  2. Wow!! I'm so jealous you skyped with Rasinski! I read so much of his work when I was working on my Master's! Good luck with your homework. :)

  3. Sounds like the conference you went to was really good! Hope you are able to finish all of your masters work! At least you get an extra hour since we change the clocks back! Have a great rest of the weekend!

  4. I love coffee (as I'm sure you can tell from my blog name. LOL). I can always use more! Good luck with your master's work. I remember doing that all too well. How stressful. I'm a new follower, I found you through Farley's link up.

  5. Having no creamer for my coffee is pretty much the worst thing ever.

I'm glad that you had some good (NC-like) weather today!! ;) Good luck with your masters work and enjoy your Sunday!
