Summer is quickly coming to an end. This is my August calendar (in my BRAND new planner from A Modern Teacher!)...
Can you see that?!?! August 4th. Yup. My new job has me back in school on August 4th. I won't be in the classroom this year, but hey, that's still pretty darn early! On the positive side, I'm excited for this new adventure.
When do you start back to school???

Second Grade is Out of This World!
Nice! Enjoy your time off! :)
DeleteI go back to work August 12th to get my opt days.
ReplyDeleteGotcha. Enjoy your last few weeks of summer!
DeleteWow! You're all back early!! For me, teachers are back Sept 2 .. grades 2-8 on the 3rd and and my first graders will arrive on the 4th! (Kinders the following week!) most teachers start setting up their rooms mid-August, but no official days/times til after Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteI like how your school does that slow integration of the grade levels. Young kids need that! We do that with PreK. And after Labor Day! Lucky! You must be up north.
DeleteSummer basically just started for me! I don't go back until August 18th. The kids come on the 25th. I bet you are getting excited about your new position!!! I hope packing up your old room went well.

Oh great! You have an extra week or so without them compared to most of us down here in FL. Yes, I'm getting excited! It's strange not having to set up a classroom though. I walk by bins and school supplies and don't know what to do with myself!
DeleteWe go back to school the 11th and the kids start the 13th---although I've been at the district office every day this week for mandatory training.
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's no fun! I hope you have at least learned some useful things. :) Good luck!
